Sunset

Today we went back to the Beacon country park. Which is really pretty and lots of fun, because of our survival training ;) Last time Nick and I had to run to the car because of the hard rain. This time we just run for fun through the deep forest – why it is always have to be a competition – because its fun!! Well, this time it was just a tie…

Anyway, the beautiful sunsets are another lovely thing in England. Especially if drive through it with some on you love.

Btw talking about driving: I drove for the first time this weekend in England and did not crash Nick’s car! Even though, I drove on the right side after turning right. Well, I did not realise it, but after a (short) time Nick said: You must feel comfortable now. >> Why? >> Well, you are driving on the right! >> OOOOpps ;)

I love English traditions

I already wrote something about Guy Fawkes and that he tried to blow up the king in the house of parliament around 1500. Therefore, the English celebrate the bonfire night on 5th November.

Here some traditions on one of my favourite dayz.
1. Bonfire-toffee – yummy
2. Bonfire, burn baby burn (burn a Guy Fawkes puppet) – amazing
3. HANNABI (Japanese for fireworks, such a better word: flower + fire) I love it!
4. Jacked potato – again yummy
5. A proper English beer later in the pub (London Bitter) – again yummy

fire... fire... fire alert

Mmmh, lovely! If it would not be enough to wake up because of YOUR alert… it is so much nicer with a fire alert!

8:00am Good morning Preston, time get up and run out of your hall.

Well, 8 in the morning and I have to get ready for my lecture. So, I tried to stay in my room, not caring about that f***ing annoying sound. I gave up after about 5 minutes, joined the queue in front of the building, smoked a GOOD MORNING cigarette with Fabien and wondered about Laura (who stood outside in the rain without shoes). However, after a real good party and SOME drinks the night before Yannik chose to stay in bed. Headache or a shitty day… he chose the headache ;) Anyway, after half an hour we could get back in…. and on our way back in we met Juan, who just went outside?!? So, we asked him, why he is coming outside AFTER the alert. >>> I got up to go the loo, then I heard the noise on the corridor and I decided to go back to bed… after a while I realised the fire alert and got ready to go outside… here I am. You know I need my time in the morning!

Therefore it is a good feeling to see a (fake) fire alert just from the window… poor students in Eden hall! :
